Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru College is one of the oldest colleges in Faridabad located in Sec-16 A.

The College was established in the year 1971. The college covers an area of 12.5 acres. The famous BJP leader Sh. Krishna Pal Gurjar from Faridabad Constituency is an alumnus of the college.

Nehru College Faridabad offers around 17 undergraduate (after class 12th) courses such as BA, BSc, BCA, etc., and 11 Post-Graduate courses (After Graduation) such as MA, MCom., MSc. etc.

Admission Process – Pt. JLN College Faridabad

  • Admission to undergraduate courses is conducted based on merit in the class 12th examination.
  • Admission to Post-graduate courses is conducted based on the qualifying examination.
  • Admissions are conducted by Maharishi Dayanand University.
  • In 2024, admission to the college will start in the month of June.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to UG Courses in Nehru College

The student must have passed class 12th from a recognized board (HBSE, CBSE, etc.) with minimum marks varying according to courses respectively.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to PG Courses in Nehru College

For PG Courses, a Bachelor’s degree in relevant specializations with a minimum of 45% marks is required.

Admission Phase for UG admission in Nehru College Faridabad

  • Phase 1 – Merit List 1: Allocation of seats on the basis of merit.
  • Phase 2 – Merit List 2: Allocation of seats based on Merit on leftover seats.
  • Phase III – Physical Open Counselling – Physical open counselling for remaining seats, requiring students to be physically present at the respective college.
